The hardest part of installation will be removing the door panels from your car, and because each vehicle requires different removal equipment and techniques, it’s difficult to give full advice for your specific vehicle. I’ve learned a few tricks over the years, which I use from one car to another, and I’ve never made a mistake.
Look for screws around the door panel.
Remove the bolts and nuts from the door panel.
Now, look for hidden bolts in the door panels. Mentally write down all the positions of the screw holes after all the screws have been removed (they may be hidden by the plastic covering).
Using the panel tool, gently but firmly push between the edge of the door panel and the metal door frame.
The door panel will lift up from the metal frame when you open it.
Remove all electrical connectors when the door panel has been completely removed from the door frame.
When disconnecting the wiring harness, all connectors have a release tab that may or may not require the use of a removal tool.
Start by unscrewing the old door speaker by removing the door panel.
The speaker wiring harness usually has a factory snap-on tab; Just press the tab and release.
If you are removing replacement speakers, you will need to disconnect the wires from each speaker terminal.
Do not start the car until the door panels and electrical connectors are disconnected.
